Job Overview

Hillard Construction a division of the AH Warren Trust Group, require a skilled general labourer to join the team on a full-time and permanent basis.

Hillard Construction are responsible for the day-to-day maintenance as well as planning and constructing of all the residential, commercial and agricultural buildings across the estate’s portfolio.

Job Duties Include:

• Delivering materials, equipment etc. to various sites in company transit tipper
• Loading/unloading construction materials
• General maintenance of construction tools, equipment, and vehicles
• Preparing and cleaning up job sites
• Assisting other specialised contractors when necessary
• Being ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary

Job Skills and Attributes Required:

• The ability to closely follow written and spoken instructions
• Be able to work as part of a small team and independently in varied roles
• Have a can-do attitude and be punctual and reliable
• Familiar with general building works, materials, and practices
• Familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures
• Be able to carry out strenuous physical tasks
• The ability to be able to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to drive a telehandler / forklift preferred, although training can be given to the right candidate
• A full valid UK driving licence

Additional Information:

• This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday – 42.5 hours per week, occasional weekend work and overtime may be required
• Pay commensurate with previous experience, in range of £12.21 – £15.00 per hour
• 31 days holiday (increasing to 33 days after 3 years continuous service)
• Enrolment onto our company pension scheme on completion of 3 months probation
