Tractor Driver – Feeder Coombe Farming

Job Overview

We are a diversified mixed organic estate based in South Somerset; we farm approx. 600 dairy cows on two dairies and rear all our own replacements over 2700 acres.

We are looking for a full-time Tractor Driver to join our organic farming team. The main responsibility of the role is the accurate daily feeding of our two dairy herds, alongside some seasonal tractor operations throughout the year.

This is a long-term role for someone who understands the importance of consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail in dairy feeding.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Accurate daily feeding of two dairy herds using tractor and mixer wagon
  • Ensuring rations are mixed and delivered correctly and consistently
  • Monitoring feed usage and reporting any issues
  • Operating tractors and machinery for general and seasonal farm work
  • Routine machinery checks and basic maintenance
  • Maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness

Job Experience and Skills required:

  • Proven experience driving tractors (dairy feeding experience preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate feeding
  • Good understanding of machinery care and farm safety
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Flexible approach during busy seasonal periods
  • Full valid UK driving license
  • Have a right to work in the UK

This role will include weekend working, typically this will involve working between the hours of 7am – 5pm with unpaid break/s, totalling around 50-55 hours per week.
